Crazy Corners 40

Feeling a bit more adventurous? Well, perhaps Crazy Corners 40 is the route for you! A bit more climbing, about 3,300 feet. We will leave the farm and have a one-mile rollout, once you hit the bottom of the hill whatever journey you choose begins. Rolly, bendy roads will lead you to a sweet descent into Brownsville. A quick mile on the pavement before another climb up the bluff to some big rollers with some of the best views in the area! Stop for some pictures around mile marker 20 one of my favorite spots on the route, then a fast descent into Reno, where rest stop one awaits. Leaving Reno, you will head up a beautiful valley for the next 8ish miles, where due to location there will be another quick stop near Freeburg, to prepare you for Crazy Corners this is a challenging climb about 28 miles in. The final home stretch is really pretty with some cool barns along the way. Some punchy rollers will surprise you a few times before the final paved descent before the finish line. Relax with your new friends and grab some hot food for your belly!

General Rules

Nobody likes them, but they are a necessity for the survival of any ride. This ride is ON OPEN ROADS, which means you must OBEY TRAFFIC LAWS. Please keep in mind some farmers and residents work and live on these roads. Yield to cars and farm equipment, and please stop at all stop signs, you will be crossing some highways. The less we inconvenience residents, the more likely they are to welcome us into their community. It is simple, be courteous, wave, and smile, you are on a bike ride!

Be prepared for anything, this is not a supported ride. There will be rest stops with food and water on the route (the 18-mile route does not have a rest stop). There will not be any mechanical support on the road, you are responsible for arranging a ride if you have issues. Having some sort of tire plug, inner tube, and Co2 is a really good idea. It is a good idea to bring some warm clothes, as the weather can change quickly (maybe a rain jacket lol).

Leave no trace. Please put your trash in your pocket and place it in the proper receptacle at a rest stop or the finish. Please do not litter. Also, there will be restrooms at most rest stops. Please do not use the bathroom on the course, especially not on private property.

All riders must wear a helmet.

Ride your bike, have fun, and be kind to others. The perfect formula.
